HEY!

How's it going guys and girls? It's been a while.

I am in soooooooooooooo much pain this morning! I played the cereal box game last night with a load of dancers, i was so blatantly out of my depth, and this morning it hurts to walk! O well all in the name of a good time!

Alice came to stay last weekend, which was totally fabulous! We had such a girlie time, was so nice to see her, just wish my bean could have come too.

I've got a new job, working in a lovely seafood restaurant, so hopefully, soon i won't be poor anymore, although i think it's going to take more than a couple of shifts to redeem my finances!

Got a LONG day at uni today, so not in the mood, still feel a bit drunk!

I have never been so glad to see this room. It's been a REALLY long day, my journey back was incredibly stressful (I even cried on the train, which was only slightly embarrassing!) and not appreciated after a day of hard work at the magazine.

I had an awesome time back in Ipswich catching up with the local folk, and have just spent the last week in London on work experience at the Literary Review. I must say that it has certainly taught me a thing or two, especially about how snotty people in the magazine industry can be! But also, thankfully, about being a writer, if anything its made me even more determined to succeed, which in the end can only be a good thing. There were also some really nice people, and hopefully they're going to help me to get another placement with a publishers or a poetry magazine which would be amazing.

I also discovered that I LOVE London, i'm still not sure i'd ever want to live there on a full time basis, but it is a completely amazing place, i was completely awestruck by how many really cool places I saw whilst i was there, and i really didn't explore to any true extent.

AHHHHH!

I have so much reading to do for my course it is untrue but i think if i attempt it i may fall asleep.

IT'S SNOWING! YAY!!!! It looks so beautiful out there i feel like running outside in my pyjamas and bare feet! But that would probably be a bad idea, it will be cold and all my neighbours will think i'm crazy!

I've had a fabulous Christmas! I had turkey for the first time in 6 years! It's weird though I still preferred the vegetarian option that my mum made! I learnt to play poker which was really cool, and last night I actually won (although the people i played with were my crazy family, who, with the obvious exception of Chris, had no idea what they were doing either!) It's been wonderful seeing all the people that i've missed so much, everyone is much more chilled here and it's made me feel chilled out too!

I really have to start some work today as I have been avoiding it so far and have realised there is a great big DOLLOP of it that I have to do, damn the smelly work!

It's nearly Christmas and right now it feels as though there are so many things to look forward to, I can't wait to get home and see my family and friends, it's weird that last year I barely missed home at all, and this term i've missed everyone like crazy. I'm really looking forward to lots of things that i'm going to do here before i go home as well, the Christmas market, shopping at Cribs Causeway, the poetry party we are having, and of course mum, den and taryn coming to pick me up!YAY! I do feel happy, despite the fact I still have six essays to hand in!

I had an operation on my foot on Tuesday so i'm on crutches at the moment (only for a week) which is a bit awkward but means that i am getting lots of attention, which i love!

oh and in response to all these letters to santa that people keep posting can somebody please explain to me what a dutch oven is?

Tomorrow my mum is coming to stay! I cannot wait, it's going to be completely fabulous, i have missed her so much this term! And then on Thursday i have the pleasure of my lovely brother's company which will also be great - can't wait to see him and catch up on all the news - bet he's going to be completely knackered though after all of this university hopping.

Baaaad day yesterday - found out that my boss has sold the restaurant, thus as of two weeks time i will not have a job - just in time to be poor for Christmas! Also failed to do any of the work i have to get done this weekend due to having no time next week because of my visitors. I think i made up for it today though.

The rain today was completely amazing, but i'm only saying that because i stayed in doors, having to venture outside would perhaps have taken away my fascination and would have played havoc with my hair, which as we all know, wouldn't have amused me.

I've got to go read about the biology of sex now - it's incredibly complicated and not really that interesting, oh well!

Please help! I am applying to some magazines in order to gain some work experience and Cosmopolitan magazine have asked me to submit ideas for features before they will consider me! I've got a few ideas of my own but I'd really appreciate any thoughts anyone might have which could help me - this would be such an awesome work experience opportunity if i could come up with some decent ideas!!!

Gosh it's been ages since i updated!

I am listening to a poetry cd which my lecturer made for me, which technically makes me a geek, not that i care! I have discovered a love of so many new poets lately - i wish i could just do my poetry module everyday and not have to bother with all the biology crap we are doing in psychology at the moment.

Have pretty much settled back in here now, loving my huge house, although it's weird as i never seem to bump into anyone there's so much room, all six of us can be in and you think you're completely alone, so the rule is never walk around naked unless your 100% sure!

Not really loving the amount of work i am having to do at the moment, it's ridiculous, i came here to enjoy myself and now there seems to be so little time. On a more positive note, tomorrow it Karen's birthday so we're out tonight celebrating.

Saw the Corpse Bride last night - it was so fabulous and there was an array of comedy chins on display in Burton's kerazy characters. Also seen Kinky boots (strange) and Pride and Prejudice (lovely) since i've been back so i'm keeping upto date on my films.

Can't wait for brother Chris' visit, (although Chris i would like to know where my phone bill got to??) and also mummy, although they are both coming in the same week which might be a little hectic.

I can't believe that summer is pretty much over. I go back on Saturday (as i know many of you do), i'm looking forward to the new house, i'm hoping that the girl majority will mean it will be a girlie house (compared to the FHM covered, pot noodle, smelly trainer haven that last years flat had become by the end of the year (although it was beautiful and we had pink bedrooms). I can't wait to go out dancing, read poetry and make culinary creations. I only wish i could take a few wonderful people with me (mummy, my bean, many unmentioned others).

My birthday was fabulous - thank you to everyone who made it so - and to everyone who sent me birthday texts - it was lovely to feel so popular!
London with Fred was amazing - we saw the Lion King and it was everything i dreamed it would be it was definitely one of the highlights of my year. We also went to the Tate Modern and the National portrait gallery - both of which were really fascinating and took a walk around Hampstead heath. We also took a visit to china town... which was interesing. Plus i rode the tube a lot! And, of course, a visit to London wouldn't have been complete without a visit to Oxford street Topshop - it was magnificent!

Tomorrow i'm going for lunch with the my beautiful ladeez and going shopping with the wonderful Dmitri for a certain item ;)

Just spent an evening with becks, twas lovely though slightly bizzare, she taught me about scoobies which made me feel like i was about a hundred years old and completely useless, i couldn't do what they were designed to be used for at all, so i've resigned myself to knitting with them which looks completely foul but is entertaining enough.

Tomorrow i'm off to Loughborough, first to visit my bean in her house and then to see my Emily for her birthday as well as Vicky and Beth (uni peeps) so i'm pretty excited - although the reality of the 3 and a half hour train journey hasn't quite sunk in yet.

Work night out on Saturday was fabulous - abi makes me laugh so much - and although Ipswich isn't the best place for clubbing we managed to have a good time.

Right i'd better do some packing, it seems like i'm never in Ipswich for more than 5 minutes.

Gosh i'm feeling incredibly happy! I'm all better now and it's so great, even if i do have to see the smelly doctor tomorrow and even if he is going to stick more needles in me, but i'm not thinking about that now. I have to work lots this week but i don't actually mind because Robyn will be there and i love her lots, also on Saturday it's our work night out and i'm very excited.

At the weekend i received a visit from my lover which was incredibly special and really cheered me up, i breifly showed him round the chav haven of ipswich and was pleased to find that he didn't find it that bad.

This morning i received my poetry handbook for september which has terrified me beyond belief. I love poetry so much (as weird as people (including my english seminar leader) seem to find that) but this honestly looks impossible, oh well i'll put it in a dark cupboard and try and forget about it until September.

Tonight i plan to embark on a journey to the farmhouse which will be tres excitement, especially with my bean on my arm.

Yesterday i collapsed in Zizzi (an italian in town) i was on the stairs, whilst i was unconscious the waiter carried me up, when i came round i didn't even recognise my mum. It's scary when this happens - especially as last time they put it down to stress and this time i really know that i can't be stressed - i mean what do i, of all people have to be stressed about?

The attack on London today has made me really angry, i know nobody was injured, but all the fear it's causing, what right do these people have to frighten people into not being able to go about their everyday lives? I shouldn't watch the news, by the end of it i'm always in tears or really pissed off.

On the up side - i've had a lovely picnic today in christchurch with my gal pals and nice chats on the phone with Beth, Charlotte and Fred.

Back in Ipswich.

Yesterday i saw my bean which made me happy, have missed her so much, am seeing her again today (at work which puts a slight downer on things) but nevertheless am quite excited. Wonder who else will be there, alice? Abi? perhaps.

It's weird being at home and my brother not being here, thus i am looking forwards to the boys returning on tuesday.

I had a wonderful holiday, my love, if you are reading this i miss you loads and can't wait for your birthday when i get to see you again.

I don't feel quite like myself tonight - i had planned to go to zest with everyone else, but i just want to be alone and the thought of being in a room with that many people is making me feel panicked. I guess the depression of being back here has set in - as lovely as it's been to see everyone - suddenly i don't feel at home here. Perhaps over the summer i'll settle in.

Yay! I'm feeling happy today - i'm going on a picnic with Harry, Alice and my cinema partner Tom! I'm wearing one of my new skirts! Last night at the red lion was cool, although all the medical talk was a bit overwhelming.

Also i go back to Bath on Friday and i'm soooooooooo excited! I can't wait to see Fred!

All is good, all we need now is for the sun to come out!
